I have recovered from my Christmas tree disaster, and the tree is back up, more secure, and looking ok. The slim tree is in my foyer, and holds precious ornaments that were made by my mother. When the tree fell, some of her ornaments lost some decoration, but I put them back on anyway.
Santa and the reindeer made it through without a scratch!
This was my mantle last year. Here's another shot...
Nice, a bit over the top, so I decided to make a change.
I swagged the garland, and used my reindeer and a pair of gold candles. Here's a close-up of the new wreath...
I used these reindeer on my sideboard last year. For the swag, I took a plain green garland, doubled it, and added lights. Then I added a garland of sticks, crystals, and pine cones, as well as glittery gold grapes. Sparkly picks added the right amount of glitz.
I used one of the vases from last year's mantle in the dining room, with a new arrangement.
Silver and gold leaves, peacock feathers, and poinsettias are included in this arrangement.
A gold crown, for the birth of our King...
"Wise men still seek Him."
A simple table vignette and below, a close-up of the tree, again in bronzes and golds.
Here's a taste of what's to come!! Come back soon to see this tablescape and Part 2 of Christmas decorations!! Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate your kind comments!!
Love your decorations, but REALLY love your leopard (?) lamp!! Perfect!
ReplyDeleteEverything is beautiful! Did you make your wreath? It is lovely.
ReplyDeleteYour Mother's ornaments are just wonderful. I am glad you could save them after their fall.
I changed my mantel this year to a swag garland after many years of totally covering the mantel.

Everything's so pretty! I'm glad your mom's ornaments weren't destroyed.
ReplyDeleteYowza, yowza, yowza!!! That mantel is rockin', woman!!! It was rockin' last year, too. Heavens to murgatroyd!!!! I'm so glad you were able to still use a lot of your Mom's ornaments. That would have been a super tragedy if you couldn't! That's a beautiful arrangement sitting in the corner of your dining room, too, with the peacock feathers. Get it, girl!!! :-)
ReplyDeleteEverything is beautiful, Betsy!
ReplyDeleteGlad your Mom's ornaments made it through with only a bit of roughing up. My aunt made a series of ornaments like those for my mother. They are special!
ReplyDeleteYour trees are so pretty.
Love the grand piano with the family pictures- what a gorgeous element for a room!
