Thanks to Susan for hosting this fun blogging party for tablescape bloopers. I try so hard, but it always seems that some thing's in the photo that shouldn't be, or something isn't there that should be. I do like the fact that anything goes in the blogging world, and that people are much more supportive than critical. But if I get something wrong, I am not opposed to constructive criticism, so please bring it on!!
Cute little tablescape, what's that white mound on the left? Can't be a tissue, yikes!!
This shot was taken at a table display at the Home Show. What's that in the upper right corner?? I believe my readers got in the way of the picture... I felt I still needed to use this picture, because I had only taken a few of each table.
Several of my shots featured soup bowls, but I forgot the soup spoon... this one and the next...
Also, for this photo shoot, I plucked oak leaf hydrangea leaves for the centerpiece, and as soon as I started taking the pictures, they started to droop. I just pretended that it was on purpose hahah lol
This little fella always seemed to appear the minute I took the shot!
There he is again...
Many of my bloopers were bad photography. Glare always seemed to be a problem. I still have that problem, it has not been resolved.
Blurry pictures are a problem, especially when I try to take close ups.
Lighting is always an issue...
In this picture, the focus was on the outdoor fan instead of the table.
All in all, blog land has been an exciting adventure for me. I will get better at this, I WILL!! Happy New Year to everyone, thanks for all the kind comments in 2010!!
Your puppy is precious! Lighting is always an issue for me as well...new to this, I will hopefully get better! Loved the "readers" shot...so funny! Thanks so much for sharing...

Came by way of Susan's. I think your Tablescapes are beautiful and the pooch absolutely is adorable! With respect to your photography, I'm told "practise makes perfect".
ReplyDeleteRecall one time I was trying to take a photo of our Christmas tree to post on RMS and for the length of time it took me to get a reasonable photo I felt it would have been easier to grow a tree. :) HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU AND YOURS.

Awwww, that puppy is perfect. He makes those shots!
ReplyDeleteBut I am in the same boat with you... closeups and lighting are tough! So I overcompensate and take about five million pictures. LOL!
Happy New Year...
XO,
Sheila :-)
Oh goodness if I had included bad photography we'd be here all day. I think your little "visitor" in the pictures is just darling. Thanks for sharing your less than perfect moments with the rest of us.
ReplyDeleteI like the little fellow in the picture! Makes me feel like I'm seeing the table as I would as a guest in your home! Beautiful tablescapes! I think photography is a difficult component for most of us...especially if we are in a hurry! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! What perfectly beautiful and creative tablescapes! I just found your blog today and look forward to visiting again, and again, and again.
ReplyDeleteOOh i so love the yellow and black tablescape.. as is usually the case, were things not pointed out, no none notices... Your tables are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteWell, if that's all you have to complain about you're not doing too bad!
ReplyDeleteI hate to admit how many times I've taken a picture, adjusted the lighting, moved something over, etc. Thank goodness for these digital cameras...in the old days it would have been sufficient to take one or two pictures and hope you did well with it! I have a cat that finds his way in my pictures here and there too! They seem to know when we're busy and want to be a part of it! I love seeing your exterior shots, so beautiful! I love the amethyst vases with the flowers..very nice!
All in all, though, not a bad year! You have posted some fabulous stuff, and that's all we'll remember! Happy New Year!!!
ReplyDeleteBetsy, Your tablescapes are all beautiful! Trust me when I say I have had more than my share of bad photos! Thank goodness for Picasso. Have a wonderful 2011 and I look forward to seeing you soon.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Sherry
Love the kleenex one! I am looking forward to saving my bloopers from this year! Many of these I wouldn't notice either. I hope to get better too!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving your blog, bloopers and all! We all have those moments. It's part of life. Enjoy the fun of it.

Just found your blog. I love china and silver too. There is a filter lens for most cameras that reduces glare a lot I got one and it was about $20.00 any good camera shop has them if you feel glare is an issue. I loved the white pumpkin table.
