Christmas Decor and New Year's Eve Setting

Rain, rain go away!!  It's been raining here for four straight days, snow expected tomorrow!  I am ready for some sunshine!!

Thought I would finally post a few pictures of Christmas and a couple from a New Year's Eve vignette I sort of threw together at the last minute.  Since we ate out, there are no dishes, just a few decorative type things.
Can't believe I didn't get a picture of the entire front entrance, but the skates were off to the side of the door.
Family room tree was again decorated with golds and bronzes.
Tree top
Mantle was similar to last year, but I added a vase with greens, bronze pine stems, and pine cones, which have mini lights. In this picture they are unlit.
Mantle with pine stems lit...
Angels on top of bookcase were purchased at an estate sale woohoo!!  Only problem was when I wanted the candles lit (they were battery operated), I had to climb on a ladder.
Coffee table vignette--reindeer was purchased this year at Tuesday Morning and candle holder came from an estate sale.

In the dining room on the sideboard, my epergne was arranged with silver and glitzy fruit.

Another estate sale find, this pitcher held silver and crystal decorations.
DR tree was decorated with silver and mercury glass.
Outside arrangement

All set for New Year's Eve!
I liked these lighted branches this year, can you tell?

Happy New Year--better late than never--thanks for visiting with me, come again soon.

    1. Hi Barbara! Thanks for visiting! The DR wallpaper has been up quite a while. When I find something I like, I usually stay with it for the long haul!! I found the white chairs at an auction recently, and they came in handy for extra seating during the holidays. Right now I'm in the process of tearing down wallpaper in the kitchen, and I'm trying to decide whether to paint, faux paint, or wallpaper again! I may be living with bare walls for a few weeks lol! Take care!!

    1. Hi Traci!! Thank you so much, I'm a little late with the Christmas stuff, but it's been a bit crazy around here lately. My problem is getting everything put away. It's all boxed up, all contents are documented and boxes are numbered, but they are sitting in the middle of my garage waiting to be put away! Hopefully I will get a little help with that soon!! Take care!!

  3. Wow, every photo is so beautiful, but I really think the skates on the wall is so sweet and welcoming. You could keep them up all throughout winter. I am ready for some sun too.

    1. Hi Stacy! Thank you, I love those skates as well. I originally purchased them at an estate sale to sell in my booth, but I couldn't part with them, so voila they became part of my Christmas! Funny thing is, I've never ice skated in my life! lol Water skiing, yes, but no ice skating or skiing!! Thanks for stopping by!!

  5. Boy howdy!!! You really went all out this Christmas!!!! AND New Year's Eve!!! Even the outdoor URN!!!!!!!!! Great deal on the angels. You've gotta get yourself some of those remote candles so you won't be teetering from the top of a ladder every day!!! My Mom bought some last year, and they are an absolute wonder!!! I love your ice skates on the door. I've never ice skated in my life, either, but I saw a pair at the local Goodwill and should have bought them for just $10. I don't know why I left them there!!! Oh, well...there's a reason for everything! I was in a different mindset when I saw them, I guess. (a.k.a. BROKE!) Happy New Year to you and yours, and have a great weekend!

  6. Hey Alycia!! Good hearing from you!! As usual, Richmond is always several years behind, we might get those remote control candles in a few years lol you are so right, guess I should have ordered them from the internet, oh well there's always next year. Skates were popular this year, I sold several pair in my booth, and probably could have sold those as well, but typical me, I buy something to sell, then end up keeping it for myself!! Will visit with you soon, I'm off to the dr. got a nasty sore throat ughh. We got a bit of snow last night, about 3 inches, but it's melting quick, thank goodness. Thanks for visiting, happy new year to you and yours as well!!
